Absolutely top notch, amazing dinner venue. I took my boyfriend for his birthday upon a friends recommendation. We were unsure what to expect when we arrived. You valet at the entrance. It’s a bit tight entryway and there’s no real “hostess” stand but don’t let that sway your opinions. We began with dirty martinis where both regular and spicy blue cheese olives were offered - first I’ve ever been offered! These were perfect. We shared many items - a salad, scallops appetizer, bone marrow, a ribeye steak with bearnaise, garlic mashed and asparagus. He later had an old fashioned which was great. I asked the waiter for dessert for his birthday and we got the NY style cheesecake. While nothing was bad that was my least favorite item. It was a very large portion in case you’re on the edge. They also brought a complimentary marshmallow gelato or ice cream which I couldn’t stop eating despite feeling stuffed to the brim. Service was swift, attentive and friendly. I visit many steakhouses of all calibers and this was easily one of the top meals I’ve had. We cannot wait to return here.
My husband took me here for Valentine’s Day and we had an amazing time! We made reservations so we were seated immediately. We reserved the French dip in advance and we HIGHLY recommend doing that. My husband got the special wagu steak for dinner which was cooked to perfection. I got the spicy rigatoni which was the best pasta dish I’ve ever had out to eat. We ended our dinner with the roasted marshmallow gelato and the special winter raspberry gelato. Nothing that we ate throughout the course of our meal disappointed us. We highly highly recommend coming here for date night!
I recently dined at the 130 Club with my fiance, and it was an outstanding experience! We started with the oysters, which were fresh and delicious, followed by the spicy rigatoni that had the perfect kick. The boneless ribeye was cooked to perfection and incredibly flavorful, and we couldn’t resist finishing off our meal with the brownie, which was simply divine. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance made for a delightful evening. As the owner of Presidential Detailing Studio just a couple of blocks away, I’ve always driven past this gem but finally made it inside, and I’m so glad I did. I highly recommend the 130 Club to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience!
From beginning to end everything was amazing. Mykalah was fantastic making sure we had everything we needed all night for a perfect girls night. Braised short ribs appetizer was on point, crab cakes, mashed potatoes, carrots, prime rib, pasta and ending it with brownies, lemon meringue and raspberry Gelato. We enjoyed every minute right down to the hidden room. We will be back.
Definitely Bergen County’s finest restaurant. Geoffrei Taylor and Angela Quiroz are two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet in the restaurant business and I’ll always be a proud patron. Food, hospitality, and their respect to patrons is always intact. One time they had a little mixup and the next time I went, they went above and beyond to make it up to me. So I have not a bad thing to say about 130 Club.
I would put service at 4.5 stars, because the service was good, but the specific waiter had issues I think. #1. Food was amazing. Very happy with it. Will be back. #2. Service was impeccable. They always had staff around waiting to help. #3. Drinks were good. #4. Great ambiance. #5. Appetizers were pretty small. Sometimes I like that, but they were exceptionally small. I expected at least 3 scallops, but there were two. They were delicious, but most likely not diver scallops. Only two negatives for our first experience, and one of them really got to me (but not enough to take a star away from this place). 1. My wife ordered champagne, but the waiter brought out Prosecco and after she said something, he proceeded to tell her she ordered prosecco.. I promise. My wife did not order Prosecco. She hates prosecco. Lol. Not a big deal. He fixed that. But don't tell her she ordered something that she didn't. Almost argumentative, which is weird when a restaurant has such great service overall. 2. I got a steak and my wife got a burger. The burger came with a nice serrated knife in the middle, in case we wanted to cut it in half.. The waiter cut it in half for us without asking and took the knife away... The steak came with a butter knife (picture attached). I asked the waiter for a steak knife.. and he said two more steak knives? I said yes.. He brought out two more butter knives. I told him that they aren't serrated and it will be hard to cut my steak. He said they are serrated steak knives... Again argumentative and wrong.. I know a steak knife... I couldn't even cut my hand with it if I went back and forth. My butter knives at home would have cut the steak better, because they have even a slight serration. These had 0 serration. I think he just needed more training, honestly. But overall, the place was great.
Excellent dining experience. Came here-for my husband’s birthday. Drove 45 minutes to get there from beginning to end everything was fantastic. Our server, Makayla walked us through the menu and helped us make excellent choices. We had the tomahawk for two which was cooked to perfection. They have a member‘s old cigar lounge and a room that holds up to 16 people for a private dining experience that looks like a speakeasy. Highly recommend.
One thing I love is a top tier dining experience and I’m very particular about an elevated level of service. The 130 Club exceeded my expectations by far. The staff was so attentive and accommodating. This restaurant has become my favorite in just one evening. I will most certainly be returning The food, ambiance, music and service 20/10. I would highly recommend!
